I paid in full in advance using PayPal...but on the day, they swiped my card 2 times and it blocked two times the security deposit...I am glad that I had the extra open credit line to cover their mistake. The car they offered had lot of problems that made me uncomfortable accepting the car.

Returned car at this location. It was 10am and office was very busy but the woman stopped serving other customers to show me where the car return was (around the corner from the office). At car return, staff was quick and provided receipt immediately. For the customers waiting to pick up a car, it looked like a long wait.

Reserved an SUV months in advance as we were a family of 5 traveling in France (2 adults and 3 kids), so we needed room and trunk space for our luggage. We received a slightly bigger 4 door Sudan style car. We treated rudely when I questioned why we were not getting an SUV like we reserved and was told it was equivalent to an SUV. Never had issues with Enterprise and have always felt like their advertising was correct, but this was ridiculous. We had to make it work but with 3 car seats, we definitely didn’t get what we were supposed to have.

Nice welcome, great car and price. Helpful one-way hire (to Cherbourg). ....But then they wouldnt send my drivers license to me having retained it on checking in. Several (translated into French) emails to a hopeless intern and still no joy. Ended up having to arrange and pay for another drivers licence. Customer service fail!!

Terribly service. They made us wait 30 minutes to get the car, they said fuel was full and that they set the language to English. The fuel was not close to full and it was set for French

We had no issues and were thankful for the long hours this location is open. We originally scheduled our pick up for 14:00, coming in from the USA to Caen and onto Bayeux. Our flights were delayed so, called the main Enterprise number from the US to move our pickup to 17:30. We made it to France and onto a train in Paris that also ended up delayed!! A very nice French woman sitting across from us on the train called a main French Enterprise number to let them know we were delayed on the train and that we'd be there as soon as possible. Both main numbers assured us and the kind woman that the Caen local office would be notified. They were not. The train pulled into Caen about an hour late, but we made to the office with about 20 mins to spare. The local staff was wondering where we had been. I'm disappointed in the overall Enterprise lack of communication, but thankful that the local staff did not give my automatic to anyone else. The car hadn't been washed or vacuumed from the previous customers, but it didn't stink, it wasn't gross - just dirt from feet on the carpet (and we added quite a bit after visiting the beaches ourselves) - and the car was otherwise brand new and automatic with a full tank of gas, which is all we needed. The staff was so pleasant. I don't recall the woman's name, but she walked us and another couple to the pick up lot (which is across the street and behind the train station - pay attention to this because this is where you'll also drop off). We went over the rental agreement, I received the keys and we were on our way. For the return, I parked it in the same lot we got it out of and dropped the keys in the box at the office as instructed as it was prior to the office opening for the day. They immediately processed the return when they opened because I had the final invoice in my email about an hour later. It was very easy to access the rental location across from the train station. I recommend using them but, if you need to make changes or you are delayed, try to contact the local office directly - they speak English well and I wish I would have known this - don't rely on the "main customer service numbers" to relay messages.

Our experience was exceptional we did have to wait 30 minutes for an automatic car which is fine and we communicated we would go grab a coffee. Julien Arnoult who was taking care of us walked us to the cafe and bought us coffees despite our attempts to refuse. He is a valuable employee and will make a great manager.
